What to Bring

Life Jacket: Please bring your own PFD. Campers are required to wear Coast Guard approved life jackets while on the water. The safest life jacket to have is the one your child likes to wear. Please provide one that your camper is comfortable in. We also recommend clearly marking the PFD with the name or initials of owner.

Shoes: Students must wear their shoes at all times. Shoes may be either boat shoes, sport sandals with appropriate straps, or regular sneakers that can get wet. This requirement includes land (beach) activities, as well as on-the-water activities. NO FLIP-FLOPS PLEASE. **Recommended- Crocs, water shoes, Keens/Chacos/Tevas or tennis shoes that can get wet.

Eye & Skin Protection: Campers should apply sun block (at least SPF 15) and lip balm before arriving to camp. A hat with a brim and properly filtered sunglasses with a lanyard are also strongly recommended. Campers should bring extra sunscreen and lip balm to camp to reapply throughout the day.

Change of Clothes & Towel: Please bring a change of clothes and towel; you will get wet sailing! Please plan on arriving to camp in your sailing attire and/or bathing suit each day and only change clothes before leaving.

Bathing Suit/Clothes that can get wet: Please dress for the weather. Wear your bathing suit on the first day of camp since we will be performing swim checks in the Herrington Harbour swimming pool. We ask that girls wear one-piece swim suits, and boys wear “board short” type swim suits. NO SPEEDOS.

Light Rain Jacket: We operate camp rain or shine. Help ensure your camper is comfortable in the daily forecast and bring a light rain jacket as needed.

Water Bottle: Please provide your camper with a reusable water bottle marked with their name on it for replenishing, and using while on the water sailing and throughout the camp day.

Bag Lunch:

Mini Mariners: Half Day Mini Mariners will not require a bag lunch, however the campers will pause for a snack break. Full Day Mini Mariners will require a bag lunch.

Dinghy Camp & Beach Catamaran campers should bring a bag lunch labeled with their name Monday-Friday this year. Parents will be notified about Friday Parent Sail.
